Easter Entertainments Team

Join the Twinlakes Park Easter entertainments team is recruiting for April 2020.

INLCUDES:

  • Acting inside our unique Easter Bunny Grotto playing the part of an ‘Easter Bunny Helper’
  • Interacting with families
  • Ocasional mascot work

ARE YOU:

  • Confident, enthusiastic and able to publicly speak to large groups of people.

WE REQUIRE: 

  • You must be forward-thinking with a can-do approach

JOB TYPE:

You will join our rides and attractions team and operate our theme park rides. Zoo-Farm Animal Keeper

Zoo-Farm Animal Keeper

This role requires a hands-on approach working within our Zoo-Farm area; we are looking for a responsible and dedicated individual to join our animal team on a part-time basis. The successful individual will ideally have a broad-base of animal knowledge – experience working with a range of animals or within a farm/zoo environment is desirable but not essential. You must have a flexible approach whilst being engaging, confident, approachable and keen to learn new skills whilst focusing on animal welfare and visitor engagement. In addition to the daily tasks, this position also includes taking part in daily animal encounters with visitors.  

WE REQUIRE: 

  • You must be able to engage with visitors and answer enquiries
  • You must be able to work as part of a team but also confident in working and carrying out tasks alone
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Excellent time-keeping and management.
  • High levels of flexibility in order to respond to daily challenges across a wide range of areas.
  • You must be able to work weekends, school holidays and bank holidays
  • Animal care qualifications are desirable, but not essential. Ongoing in-house training is given.
  • Assisting with general site maintenance including the emptying of bins, sweeping, weeding and cleaning.
  • Day to day care and husbandry of all animals including domestic large and small hoofstock, equines, small mammals, reptiles, aviary birds and parrots, and poultry. (for example: reindeer, meerkats, common marmosets, skunks, pigs, sheep/goats etc).
  • Diet preparation, animal observation and record keeping.
  • Assisting with veterinary care when needed.
  • Full clean UK or EU driving licence and own car preferable due to location.
  • Strict adherence to safe working practices and high standards.

JOB TYPE:

This is a parttime position covering 2 or 3 days a week – please state your preference on application. Starting time will be 08.00am daily, however flexibility is essential and more hours may be required during peak times including school holidays, special events, lambing etc. 

Working outdoors, in all weather conditions as the needs of the business dictate.Rate of pay to be discussed at interview stage. Zero hour contract.

Gardener

Gardener

The role requires a knowledgeable gardener with strong communication skills to assist our gardening team with a wide range of duties. The successful applicant will be a reliable and capable gardener with the ability to either work on their own or part of a small team. Plant and lawn care knowledge advantages but not essential as training will be given.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Working to a time schedule for each job.
  • Using hand and or power tools or equipment to perform a wide range of landscape maintenance such as Mowing lawns, Trimming shrubs, Planting, Lawn Fertilising, Lawn Aeration and Scarification, Raking, Leaf clearance, Hedge trimming, Pruning, etc.
  • Use of manual hand tools such as pruners
  • Use of cutting / vacuuming equipment
  • Ability to work in most weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry
  • Ability to load/unload from a vehicle
  • Additionally, employees are expected to abide by all internal control & compliance practices to:
  • Safeguard assets from theft and misuse
  • Comply with business ethics, applicable laws and regulation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • You will need to wear company clothing as supplied.
